Best Toaster?

After picking Krups Toaster FEM2B as the best toaster in this blog, I constantly received many complaints about the inconsistency of this product quality. Personally, my one work great, but other have totally different experience. In their emails, they said this Krups FEM2B can never toast bread or bagel evenly. Well, I think it will be too much of the risk for my readers to buy or me to recommend the Krups FEM2B as best toaster anymore after receiving all this bad feedback.

Anyway, after recommend few good toasters, there is one particular toaster that has received very good feedback from our readers  – KitchenAid KMTT200OB 2 Slice Toaster. So here is my new recommendation for the best toaster – KitchenAid KMTT! I guess what is important here is if you are looking for the best toaster that do the basic job well (toast evenly), you should check out this beautiful best toaster instead.

Personally, the back to basics TEM500 2-in-1 is very useful and cool for me. But if you are talking about the coolest toaster, then I think Morphy Richard 2 Perfection 2-Slice toaster is really blow me away! Well, if you are looking for a solid and best toaster, then Krup and Cuisinart is a good buy. And Oster Counterform is basic toaster will get the job done:)

Besides that, there are couple very good looking design toaster here, check out the Sunbeam 3916, T-Fal TT7461002 and De’Longhi DTT900 to be appreciate the creativity of each toaster design.

This Sunbeam 3916 toaster received mix reviews and feedbacks from the users. Some people love it and some people hate it. Well, if you love this cute design toaster, you might have to take a bit of risk to see how it’s really turn out.

I don’t own this toaster, but as I read all the amazon reviews, some of them hate it and return the toaster ( because their bought it online from Amazon, and Amazon have great return policy ). And some of them love it because of it’s design and work great for them. Well, if you like the design of the toaster, you might need to take a bit of risk here:)

This is T-Fal TT7461002 toaster is one of the special one. It’s design is easy to use and does a fantastic job of getting hot toasting item out of the toaster safely and easily due to it’s special “angle design”.

This T-Fal toaster can toast bread, bagels, english muffins, poptarts and more. However there are couple of drawback:

• Large – it’s is large because it’s allow you to toast up to 4 slice of toaster.
• Slots Too Short – For long bread or none standard size bread, it’s might be too short due to its design.
• Uneven Toasting – This is a common problem for toaster, and this toaster have couple of this complain.

Anyway, I think this T-Fal TT7461002 toaster might be a good buy if you know what you are looking for.

How To Choose Your Best Toaster

So here are some tips that I found useful when choosing a toaster.

• Even toasting – I feel that this is the most important feature that you should look for. After all, with even toasting, you don’t need to toast twice or turn your bread upside down every time you toast. A nice, uniform toast will certainly light up your day minus the grumble of unsatisfactory toast!
• Exterior must be cool to touch – Trust me; some toasters are unbelievably scalding hot after a few rounds of toasting. If you have kids, you won’t want them burning their fingers when they accidentally touch the toaster. Even if you don’t have kids, there is a possibility of an accidental touch when you’re in a hurry to work.
• Power cord should not be too short – The short power cord is one of the drawbacks of many toasters. Keep in mind a rough estimation from the position of toaster on your kitchen counter and the electrical socket. You wouldn’t want too short or too long a power cord.
• Crumbs tray should preferably be at the front or the side – This will make clean-up easier especially if the back of the toaster faces a wall.
• Wide and Long slots – It’s not necessary if you’re just a fan of toast bread. However, if you love variety and want to toast muffins, bagels, etc., you might want to keep a lookout for these features. With wide and long slots, you will not need to trim and shave off the sides of your bagels before toasting. Saves you a lot of time, believe me ?

There are certainly many more features that are a delight but I believe that these are the necessary features that will certainly be of help when you’re looking for a toaster. Hopefully, by bearing in mind these features, it might aid you when you go for your next toaster-shopping!

My Best Toaster Review – Brief Overview

I have tested and bought a lot of toaster either for my new home or as a gift for my friends. And of course, with the help of Consumer Report, Cook illustrated and Amazon owner review, I manage to find and own couple of best toaster through out this few years.

Anyway, I’ve already reviewed three toasters earlier. They are Krups FEM2B Toaster, Oster Counterforms 6335 Toaster, Proctor-Silex Cool-Touch 22450, and Delonghi Brushed Aluminum DTT900 Designer toaster.

Krups FEM2B & Krups FEM4B

Overall, Krups FEM2B & Krups FEM4B is the best toaster in general. It’s outperform in all the test in consumer report and received tremendous good rating from Amazon owner too. No doubt this is the best toaster you can buy. You can find my more detail review about this toaster over here.

Proctor-Silex Toaster Review

They each cater to different kinds of customers. If you’re on a tight budget, Proctor-Silex Cool-Touch 22450 certainly does the job. In fact, many of its features are more than worth the price. Some may say the ulterior and some buttons look cheap and flimsy because it is plastic. However, for price less than $20, I say it’s more than a bargain. It can toast just about anything and it’s fairly reliable.

Delonghi DTT900 Designer Toaster Review

Delonghi Brushed Aluminum DTT900 Designer toaster on the other hand is on the other side of the price range. As the name itself says, you could almost use it as part of your kitchen decoration. The main difference is really the automatic toasting. However, knowing automatic toasters, these may need some repair after a lengthy usage. One would think that for a hefty price of $79.95, this would encompass every possible feature. However, there are still some shortcomings. Check out my review and you’ll get a detailed review of this toaster. In short, you’re paying for a pretty face.

Oster Counterforms 6335 Toaster Review

Oster Counterforms 6335 lies somewhere in the middle of the price range when compared to these two toasters. I find it just as sleek as Delonghi Brushed Aluminum and it performs just as well too. Again, there are some shortcomings to it, but nothing really major. I find the price range reasonable and it’s rather durable. Compared to many other pricier toasters like Cuisinarts, this toaster does the job at a cheaper price! Personally, I’ll go for this.

Pop-up toaster is the most common toaster with the main purpose to toast bread.

Toaster Ovens can be use for many purpose rather then just toasting bread.

Of course, when mention toaster, most people will think of pop-up toaster. And this blog is all about pop-up toaster. To make things easy, in my toaster review, I refer pop-up toaster as toaster.
Well, I hope by providing those picture, I don’t need to explain how those toaster work:) Anyway, by understand how those toaster work and decide what toaster to get is the first step to do before you read any of the toaster review.

This Cuisinart CPT 120 toaster received mix review and few complaints but what really impress me the most is its 3 years warranty and come with a beautiful color of red (red & white model available). Anyway, this toaster comes with 2 colors, white and red. Personally, I love the red color one.

Here are the user owners feedback:

Pros: Easy-to-adjust browning; small footprint; (mostly) cool exterior
Cons: Bagel and defrost modes seem more gimmicky than useful
The Bottom Line: Just when I thought plain old toasters had become irrelevant, this little Cuisnart changed my mind. No more mediocre toaster ovens for me!

I have no complaints about this toaster. It has great features including defrosting. It’s lightweight and easy to clean. The red color goes extremely well with my kitchen. I have always said you get what you pay for and with this toaster you get the best.
